 Family Medicine was always in the cards for me as I knew I wanted to care for the entire person and care for any age group–pregnant or not. Combined with the ability to care for people of marginalized backgrounds and who are systematically disadvantaged, Family Medicine continues to be the choice for me. Now, embarking on a new part of my odyssey at UNM as an afro-Diné man, I feel charmed to return back to ancestral lands and to take care of The People under big sky and open land. I am excited to learn about full-spectrum healing at home, to dig into the New Mexican delicacies, and to explore natural enchantments where Indigenous cultivation meets multicultural lore in the heart of the American Southwest.
